The following guidelines apply to all JHU divisions.

JHU students who work at the university following completion of degree requirements, who are no longer registered full-time, or whose appointment has ended, must be removed from their student position in payroll.

Should the department wish to have the student continue working - performing the same job at the same rate of pay - for a period not to exceed six months, the conversion would be treated as a change of status to 'Temporary Staff Position' (i.e., ISR Reassignment). For guidelines to complete the conversion, please click the appropriate button below (e.g., Undergrads, Graduate, Fellow/Non-Employee, etc.).

If the student you wish to reassign after graduation is international, please be sure to read the INTERNATIONAL guideline carefully.

NOTE: Ph.D. candidates have officially completed their degree requirements AFTER the Graduate Board approves his/her candidacy, AND after the President has signed off on the official degree roster. This occurs twice an academic year - in late November or early December, and in May. If the student you wish to reassign is a PhD candidate, please read this guideline carefully.
